Resetting Chrome Auto Open Settings
Chrome can be set to auto open a downloaded file in a specific application immediately after it has finished downloading. To reset this and bring Chrome back to defaults in this regard, follow the steps below. Go to this link in Chrome chrome://settings/?search=download In this section of the page, click the "Clear" button next to Open certain file types automatically after downloading.

Setting Default Application for a particular File Type Example - Setting PDF files to open with Black Ice Tiff Viewer application Find a PDF in a drive like G, Z, or Desktop Right Click on that file and choose Properties Examine the window that comes up and see that the Type of file shows (.pdf) and that it is set to open with Kofax Power PDF. Click the Change button to change the default application to open with. Choose the new application, Black Ice Tiff Viewer as an example and click OK. Now all files with that same ending .pdf will open with this application if launched from desktop or other folder on the network.

ApplicationXtender - Utilities Menu Not Working
ApplicationXtender - User unable to open items from the Utilities menu. Deleting the HKEY USERS \ User Key\ software \XtenderSolutions and all subkeys. Relaunch AX and it will recreate. After this the Utilities menu items loaded without issue.
